Gerald S. Deutsch |
| Mr. Deutsch is the founder of Divorce Divorce Without War ® and practices in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Gerald S. Deutsch has been a practicing member of the Florida Bar since 1959 and is a Florida Supreme Court certified family mediator. |
Divorce is a confusing, stressful and turbulent time that creates uncertainty and fear. Too often, divorce is war; a battle that leaves the family scarred emotionally and crippled financially. During this time most people feel overwhelmed with worry and fueled with anger. In fact, it would be unusual if you didn't feel this kind of tension. Feeling as you do now, the challenge you face is the complex matter of how you will feel about yourself later and about the lasting legacy of your divorce for you and your family. We recognize that a dignified divorce and the idea of moving forward may be daunting thoughts for you right now. Certainly, a peaceful- process ending with an opportunity for closure is an accomplishment which is no small task. To accomplish our mission to help you through this challenging time, we offer divorce mediation and divorce coaching.
In mediation, we work with you to bring about collaboration and accord by enabling you to listen and speak rationally to each other. Our goal is for both parties to feel that their concerns are heard and addressed, so that it becomes easier to envision a civilized conclusion as well as the possibilities for a positive life after divorce. Because, while it may not seem like it at the moment, there is life after divorce - and with a kinder method for resolution, you can spend your energy focusing on a positive and productive future full of opportunities instead of using your energy to get through a bitter, expensive ordeal and then dwelling on the past for years to come.
We mediate all issues relating to the dissolution of the couples' union. We mediate for couples married under the state laws as well as for couples who are seeking separation who do not have a state certificate of marriage. Matters for discussion include, child support, visitation arrangements and custody, co-parenting plans, support and maintenance (alimony), division of property, insurance, benefits and post-separation disputes.
In mediation and with our coaching program, we will help you make the transition from your marriage relationship to one where you are no longer married but have the ability to interact in a civilized, courteous and considerate fashion. We aim to create the basis for a cooperative post-separation relationship. This will serve you well and will benefit your children, extended family, friends and the wide range of acquaintances that are a part of your families' lives.
